Our 3 winners are:

Shane Cook – Westfield Sydney
Shane has been with the Glad Group for 5 months, but has already proven to be an invaluable employee. On 16 December 2015, the team at Westfield in the City (NSW) were presented with a medical emergency. Demonstrating the Glad values of trust and integrity, Shane didn’t hesitate. Remaining calm he stepped in to quickly organise urgent medical assistance – amazing, well done Shane!

Rafid Awaness – 126 Phillip Street, Sydney
Rafid Awaness started as a Security Rover in 2009 at Deutsche Bank Place – 126 Phillip Street. From day one Rafid worked hard and developed a friendly relationship with everyone on site that has moulded him to the person he is today.
After a short stint working in the Delivery Room 2010, Rafid was given the opportunity to work at the concierge desk and he has not taken a backward step. Being the “face of the building” Rafid has shown his professionalism in many ways.

Ankit Vaghela – Cherrybrook Village
Demonstrating the Glad values of trust and integrity, Ankit is a well deserving recipient of a TRII Award.
A customer had lost an extremely sentimental eternity ring that her husband of 45 years had given her and were so were devastated when they realised it was missing. When Centre Management advised their senior cleaner Ankit had found the ring, she was beside herself with joy.

BSCAA awards nomination

BSCAA AUSTRALIAN SUPER EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2015

Congratulations to all staff who were nominated for the BSCAA AustralianSuper Excellence Awards 2015 which took place at Doltone House on 22 October. The Awards’ focus is on acknowledging and rewarding cleaning and security staff whose efforts add to the success of the businesses in our industry.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST

Well done to our Security team at 242 Exhibition Street in Melbourne for the exceptional customer service provided at a number of very important tenant events. Glad Security Officers, David Howes and George Narsa have shown admirable effort and professionalism for which they were highly praised by the client.

Singleton cleaning team

WELL DONE TO THE TEAM AT SINGLETON SQUARE AND PLAZA

At Glad Group we value our team and we understand the importance of delivering prompt service for our clients to improve safety and reduce risk for both our staff and the public. It is great when clients we service acknowledge the hard work of our teams and take the time to say thank you. Charter Hall Management at Singleton Square and Singleton Plaza sent a note to thank Glad staff John Kupelian, William Belcher and Sam Wilks for displaying great support and professionalism when the common area at the centre was hit by two separate storms causing floods and parked cars to float.

Charter Hall management emphasised timely and proactive response was provided by Sam who “showed great competency and put customers’ safety first.”
“With Sam’s quick reaction prior to the storm and John and Will’s support they have done themselves proud in my eyes and also Charter Halls in reducing down time of shops and not having one PLI incident.”

GLAD CONTRIBUTE TO DEUTSCHE BANK PLACE

A recent Tenant Satisfaction Survey of Investa’s commercial portfolio rated Deutsche Bank Place at No.1 with all categories assessed well above benchmark. Investa thanked Glad’s cleaning and security teams for their enthusiasm and hard work and acknowledged their contribution to the survey results.
Tenants commented that Glad’s team was proactive with requests and always helpful and friendly. One tenant said that Milka, our Cleaning Supervisor “will do anything for you; she is exceptional. We are very happy with the service.”

NEW WOW AWARD NOMINATIONS AT 111 EAGLE STREET

Award nominations

The Glad Group team at ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street continues to impress tenants in the 6-star Green Star office building in Brisbane’s CBD, owned by the GPT Group and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle. In June, two Glad Group employees were nominated for WOW awards for service excellence.
ERM Power Limited nominated dockmaster Kilani Faauli for assisting with its relocation and new fitout and for “always being prompt in responding to queries or access requests”. Glad Maintenance‘s electrician Robin Bewley was also nominated for his ability to “troubleshoot electrical issues -which generally arise at the most inconvenient times”.
Well done to the whole One One One team – we consistently receive wonderful feedback from tenants wanting to express their gratitude for receiving great service. AGL Energy Limited, based at 101 Miller Street in North Sydney recently sent a note of thanks to Milena Petkovic, Glad’s Client Service Manager for her team’s “brilliant work in our building“.
At Challenger Limited’s head office in Pitt Street, Sydney, our day cleaner Moi Thanachan was recommended for a certificate of appreciation for her consistent hard work and effort. Moi impressed Challenger’s facilities team with her attention to detail and focus on safety and said her service exceeded their expectations on a daily basis.
