International Women’s Day is observed and celebrated around the world on the 8th of March. It’s a day for everyone to join in voice and action for a gender-equal world. This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge – a challenged world is an alert world and from that comes real change. We can all choose to challenge, calling out gender bias and celebrating women’s achievements.

Glad Group is making great progress on many aspects of gender equality. There is a deep commitment from the Senior Executive Team to consistently work at achieving gender balance. Currently, 45% of leadership roles within Glad Group are held by women. They are driving positive change within the company and we invite you to get to know them.

Meet Ivana Iloski, General Manager of People and Culture

Ivana Iloski
Ivana has been working at Glad Group since 2011. In her current role, it is her responsibility to ensure that the recruitment and employee development practices in place encourage women and support everyone in the company. For example, since our security division is growing, we noticed the participation of women remains relatively the same. To change this, Ivana and her team have worked closely with several clients to modify rosters that worked better for women, especially working mums.

About her commitment to International Women’s Day and Glad Group’s actions towards a more equal world, Ivana said: “I am committed to ensuring that we have the right processes in place to identify women that work onsite with the capability and motivation to move into management roles. We need to support these women, nurturing their potential and providing opportunities for professional development”.


Meet Bianca Yardley, Finance Director

Bianca Yardley
Bianca is the Finance Director. She has been working at Glad Group since 2015 and is now responsible for all things numbers, budgets, and forecasts. When she is not at work being a total financial whizz, she can be found crunching muscles in her local gym. Her passion is also traveling and the proof of that lies in the fact that she has been to every single continent (yes, even Antarctica).

“In my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing women that have challenged me in unexpected ways. I’ve worked with an all-female leadership team and have experienced first-hand the tenacity, drive, and willingness to learn. As part of the Glad Group’s leadership team, I now have the opportunity to engage with both men and women, all who have amazing experiences and offer different ideas and perspectives. I am constantly learning so much and know I have a strong support network around me. If I could offer the women of Glad Group any advice, back yourself. Don’t stand still, ask questions, challenge yourself and reach out to those people whether it be your manager or someone else that can offer guidance and support.”
