It’s amazing how you take for granted little necessities like toothpaste, shampoo or soap. For most, these things are at arms’ reach in the bathroom but for the homeless youth living on the streets these little necessities are absolute luxuries.
Glad, proud sponsor of the Wrap Night
This year Glad Group was one of the major sponsors for the Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) Annual Toiletries Drive. Hundreds of toiletries were donated by the employees of many companies within the property industry for distribution to a number of charities including Stepping Stone House, The Wesley Mission, Weave, PCYC and The Settlement.
Michelle Pecnik and Chanel Avias joined in the fun at the Wrap Night on October 19 and as you can see hundreds of toiletries are now on their way to help those living on the streets.
Remember that every night across Australia, there are 44,000 homeless young people living rough and doing it tough on the streets. Property Industry Foundation organises a drive to collect toiletries for those young people and a series of events all year round to provide help and support to them. PIF raises more than $1.5 million annually to support approximately 20 grass-roots charities that provide services to homeless and at-risk youth. Glad Group employees are encouraged to volunteer their time for the benefit of homeless children and youth through industry networking, event support, workabees and buddy days.
