PIF charity Dundas House group picture

At Glad we have a real community spirit and take every opportunity to get involved with great charity events.  As a patron of the Property Industry Foundation we are always in support of the great work they do, from the Big Wrap Night for their recent Choc for Socks Campaign to their upcoming Tour de PIF, Glad are there. On Friday 24th June we sent two of our brightest Chanel Avias (Marketing and Communications) and Peter Joe (Concierge Service Delivery Manager) to spend the day helping on a building project for the Wesley Mission at Lottie Stewart Hospital in North Sydney. With 18 other volunteers from Westpac Group, Dexus Property Group, Dibbs Barker, Brookfield and HDR Rice Daubney, they were given brooms, mops, rakes and shovels to help restore two buildings for an industry networking function on Friday 8th July.

What’s next?

This was just phase one – the two buildings known as Wesley Herring House and Lynford Lodge are to be completely refurbished and renovated to accommodate up to 24 young people transitioning from foster care to independent living. The two houses built in the early 90’s have been unoccupied for the last few years are about to undergo an extreme makeover thanks to the Property Industry Foundation’s PIF House Program and the support of volunteers and companies who are donating their time and resources. We look forward to see the program launch before Christmas.

Thanks to the PIF and Wesley teams, we can’t wait to see the final result!
